Gruha Vaidyam

Shri Sampoojya Guruswami Nirmalanandagiri Maharaj(1931-2017)was a great sanyasi, who lived in letter and spirit in the traditional jnaanamarga of Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya.He accepted sanyasa deeksha fromSwami Achyuthanandagiri Maharaj of Thilabhandeshwar Matt , Kashi.He learnt shastras at Anandabhavan Ashram Bombay, under the tutelage of Swami Kashikanandagiri Maharaj.It was in 1980s that Swamiji returned from north India to Kerala and turned his janmabhoomi ( native land) into his karmabhoomi (land of action ) also.Without the burden of any tie with his poorvashram, and without establishing any movement, ashram or shishyaparampara, he passed away peacefully.Travelling from place to place and staying like an avvadhootha with grihasthas, he taught modern people Indian Vedanta PhilosophySwamiji was able to interpret and present Indian jnaanamarga in a holistic way combining Bhakthimarga, Yogamarga and Karmamarga properly.
